Getting Baptized

ready to take the plunge?

Baptism is one of the most important steps a believer in Jesus Christ can take. It is your announcement to the world that you have accepted the gift of forgiveness through Jesus Christ, died to your old way of life apart from God and been resurrected to new life in Jesus Christ. It is a symbol that you identify with Christ’s death, burial and resurrection. We encourage everyone who believes in Jesus Christ to be baptized.

Baptism FAQs

Everyone is baptized wearing shorts (appropriate length) or pants and t-shirt provided by us. Bring a change of clothes for after.

If you are getting baptized on Sunday - please check-in at the table by the Baptismal pool (in the amphitheater) between 7:30-7:45am.

If you are getting baptized on Thursday - meet Pastor Genell at the Info Center at 7:15pm.

OVCN usually has a schedule of pastors that will be baptizing each week. However, if you have a strong connection with a specific pastor you can indicate that when you register to be baptized.

A person being baptized needs to have said yes to Jesus and wants the world to know they love Him and want to serve Him.
